ASTRONOMY (NOT ASTROLOGY)--SPACE STARS CHARTS TELESCOPE SCIENCE T-shirt S-2XL
When Astronomy To Go began our first fund-raising efforts back in 1989, our goal was simple...we were trying to raise enough money to purchase a large (20") telescope to be able to share with the public. We had a table-top display of gifts and goodies for sale including a selection of OVER 4 ASTRONOMICALLY-THEMED T-SHIRTS! (Yep, you guessed it...we had 5!) This was one of those original 5. Printed in a friend's basement, it really struck a chord with those of us who were fed up with trying to explain that, as Amateur Astronomers, we were NOT willing to work out Horoscopes and charts to help guide the futures of others. (We probably would have made a lot more money if we had followed that path!) Over the years, as our goals and mission grew, this shirt has remained one of our steadiest friends. We even tried to give it a rest around 2002 but had to bring it back within a year, due to popular demand. Our friend recently informed us that he needs that part of his basement back and can no longer print this shirt for us. He printed one final batch and then sold his printing equipment. Until we decide its future fate, for now, this design is officially retired. Over the years, he has had to use several different colors of blue shirts, depending on what was available at the time. For the most part, the main photo shows the correct color blue but if you prefer a lighter shade, please ask as we may still have some left, depending on your size...otherwise, those will be the last ones sent out.
